"Celebrating the Mighty Birth of Lord Hanuman: Shree Hanuman Janmotsav"

Shree Hanuman Janmotsav, with the name of Raam, is one of the significant festivals in Hinduism. This festival is celebrated every year on the full moon day of the Chaitra month. During this festival, Hindu people worship and offer different types of food to Lord Hanuman on the occasion of his birth.


The birth of Lord Hanuman is related to Lord Raam in the epic Ramayana. In Ramayana, Lord Hanuman was met by Mata Sita during her search for Lord Raam. Lord Hanuman is considered to be a great source of strength and power, providing devotees with freedom from troubles.



On this occasion, Hindu people chant the following Sanskrit sloka:

"Anjanaanandanam Veeram Jaanaki Shokanaashanam Kapeesham Akshahantaram Vande Lanka Bhayankaram"


The meaning of this sloka is: "I bow down to the destroyer of the fear of Lanka, Lord Hanuman, who is the son of Anjana and a source of happiness, a hero, and the destroyer of the sorrows of Janaki. He is the king of monkeys, slayer of demons, and the remover of obstacles."


In summary, Shree Hanuman Janmotsav is a celebration of the birth of Lord Hanuman, who is considered to be a symbol of strength and power in Hinduism.
